Well, if you are doing leg curls, make sure the bench isn't declining! Do your leg curls with the bench flat!. You are probably pushing too much blood to your head. I know the decline bench press is like that w/o the headache, but that would be the only reason for the headache. That's all I can think of.

Ok, so I can't seem to do leg curls without getting a splitting headache. The banch is on a downward incline, but no matter if I lay my head down or keep it up, I'm still getting horrible pains in my head. And yes, I am breathing!! Anyone know what's up with this?

That's a good suggestion, but my only option for the leg curl machine is a fixed downward incline bench! :P

What about Squats. If you cannot leg curl on a flat bench, and you get headachs from the decline leg curl, you have to do something else (but you knew that, that's why you are asking :-)) Can you do Lounges and Squats. Deadlifts also help the hamstrings (which is your target) Other than that---I don't know. Your best bet is Squats--a great full leg work out...

Good call Drew138...Stiff-legged deadlifts are the way to go. Eventually, you might want to attempt leg curls and over time the light-headedness will most likely go away. Breathing while you contract is another way to avoid the blood rush to the head. Good luck and don't pass out! ;-)

Good point. Breathing is essential. When I first started it wook me a while to relize that my breathing patterns did not coinside with my training. You have to concentrate on breating for a while. Most of the time that is a cuplrate in lightheadedness and straining....

try seting up on ur elbows to keep ur head parrallel with ur body??/or try doing one leg at a time instead of both ..........and also how much weight u trying to do? lighten the weight up a bit i know i get really light headed when i do my squates and deadlifts only when i go heavy though i can do reps with 420 on deadlifts and 405 on squates but when i knock the weight down to say 350 or so i can brwath eaier and i don't strain as much
