Hi! My ultimate goal is to start body building. I need to lose about 35 lbs. Should I focus on toning and weight loss until I reach my ideal weight, or just jump right into weight training?
If you are not happy with your body now, then I would advise losing some fat first. I think I would opt for leaning down a bit, getting a "harder" body, and then start your goal. Your toning and weight loss as you put it will/must include weight training even now though. Do not make the mistake of relying on cardio, you will lose the lean mass you have. Do both.
