I did my second night of the first week of my routine last night (Weds.), and today at work my arms(and legs, to a lesser degree) were SO SORE! Would it be better for me to totally rest my muscles the days between workouts or try to do a few minutes on my Gazelle machine on the "rest" days? If I did use the machine, would this help me lose the weight faster and tone up faster? I have heard that the best remedy for sore muscles due to workout is to work them out more. Is that true, or just another one of those exercise myths? My muscles sure do feel like they would feel better if I worked them a little bit. Or should I just take a nice, hot bath?

I am on my third week of my program(still feeling the soreness) and I do know that you need to stick with the program FT has made for you. I have found that streaching is a GREAT remedy.... like everyday streaching! I too am trying to lose weight but I am not sure if using your machine more often is going to make you do it any quicker. Sorry I couldn't help to much with that. Good luck with the pain train LOL : )

Take your rest days. You need to plan on one or two days a week of complete rest. Your muscles need to recuperate. As said by atrueladi stretching will help alleviate some of the soreness.
