I work out 2 times a week, and run 6-7 times a week. I take 2 protein shakes a day everyday. Can I increase my protein intake to lose weight, and am i taking the protein correctly. Any advice on my protein comsumption.

The answer to that lies in your diet macros. Take in the protein needed to fill your macro(percentage of total calories per day). Excess calories are excess calories. True some are worse than others, but just try to be as close as you can. I usually try to gnaw my way through as much of my protein needs as possible, with the exception of post workout and also just for a change of taste.(a chocolate shake with peanutbutter is pretty nice in place of a chicken breast sometimes.)
