hi I'm currently taking AST's VP2 whey protein but as you know thats some pretty pricey stuff so i'd like to keep that as my pre and post workout shake. So i'm looking for a good whey protein(preferably) powder that is cheap and will last a while taking it 2 to 3 times a day. Thanks

Optimum 100% Whey. A bottle will last about a month if you're taking it 2-3 times a day, and it's 60% cheaper than VP2. Any advantage VP2 has is negligible and can be eliminated by simply consuming more of a product that contains concentrate, though that's probably not necessary.

If you are buying VP2 from their website, then you are definitely overpaying. Go to www.vitaglo.com and you can buy it there for $25 a jug or less.

You will want to get a blend for later in the day anyway, VP2 is better served for post workout if you are going to use it.

Any whey isolate is going to be better post workout than a whey concentrate, much higher BV.

bb1,
While we are on this subject, can you break down your daily diet for us (schedule, foods, shakes, supps, whatever)? Or maybe you could just start a new post appropriately titled. I'm curious and I'm sure others are too, especially with regard to how many different types of protein supps. you take and when.

Thanks in advance!

Sure, not a problem. Here is my current diet, which is a 250 calorie cut from 2 weeks ago. I have been on this 250 calorie cutdown into my second week now.

Meal 1...1/2 c. oatmeal, 1 GoLean blueberry waffle, 4 eggwhites, 1 whole egg, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1/2 scoop ON

Meal 2...post workout...1 1/2 tbsp. dextrose, 2 tbsp. Malto, 1 scoop Beverly Mass Maker, 2 sc. ON or Syntrax protein

Meal 3....6 oz. lean meat, 1/2 cup beans, 2 eggwhites, 1 cup veggies

Meal 4....1 1/2 sc. ON, 1/4 c. eggwhite powder, 1 tbsp. Flax oil, 1 cup veggies

Meal 5....6 oz. lean meat, fish, etc., 5 oz. sweet potato, 1 c. veggies

Meal 6....5 oz. lean meat, 2 c. veggies, 1 tbsp. Flax oil

Pre bed...4 eggwhites w/salsa, 2 c. salad with oil based dressing, 1 tbsp. flax oil, 1 sc. ON

I take 3 Dessicated liver with each meal

Take daily, in the morning, Multi vitamin, Vit. C(500mg.), post workout Vit. C(1gr.), B-Complex(2), and another Vit. C(500mg.) later in the day.

With my first "fat based" meal, 400 I.U. Vit. E

I think that covers it.

I just bought AST VP2 for 20 bucks and some pennies using http://www.easypricematch.com/store/default.asp to bust down the price from www.dpsnutrition.com ... I advise everybody buying supps online check out the easypricematch site ;)
