Im 18 i weigh 144lbs and im 5'10. Ive working out for a year and things have been progressing well, but i just needed to get a bit of guidence on a couple of things.
I have been taking protein shakes for a month and a half once a day (post work out) and now im starting to increase it to twice a day (post work out and before i sleep) Should i be taking protein shakes on my off day? On this point do you think that i will feel or see a differnce if so how long to do you think it would take?
Another thing i have been thinking about is creatine. There is a GNC store 10 minutes walk away from me and i saw creatine in liquid form. I was told by a friend that this type of creatine is taken before a work out. The creatine is taken by dripping 2 drops under your tongue. If you guys have any experince on this please could you post anything you know about it. And how good is creatine, is it worth it?
Not sure what type of protein you are getting from your shake, but you should take this on your off day only if you feel you are not getting enough from food sources. Whey protein is only good post workout. During the day, you need other types of protein (casein, egg, soy, etc.).
As far as liquid creatine, it's a waste of money! Stick with powder and make sure it has the Creapure stamp on it...this is by far the best/purest creatine on the market.
