I was able to get away from the junk food by not having any in my apartment. I am going on a cruise over the holidays where great (tasting, not heathly) food is available 24/7. How am I going to stay away from it? Or, what types of food should on eat when all that's available is buffet style cuisine?

Buffet style is the best. Just eat the healthy foods, if you can, but really....you've been good for a while so eat.

Try and look for good carbs, protein, you know, like lean beef, fish, stay away from the fried stuff, and the cakes, pasta is good.
Oh ya, they DO have a great gym aboard the ship.
Have fun!

cs, if this is your first cruise then you don't know. There will be every manner of food available from adkins to heart smart to vegetarian to artery clogging. you won't have a problem.

Most people fear gaining weight on a cruise. When I cruise I eat what I want and never gain weight. One way to do this is walk everywhere. Don't set foot on an elevator. These ships are huge and average one is 12 stories tall. have a ball

Thanks guys! I'll be sure to use the gym and stairs on the ship! Happy holidays!
