Ok guys,
I will soon be going into week five and I have a question for you slightly more experienced then I. Now I know it’s a case of what’s good for one isn’t always good for another but what’s a respectable, and good increase on a weight per exercise, per week. For example: - One week I curl 25 pounds, what should the weight be increased to the following week? Is 30 o.k. or is there a kind of rule of thumb to go by to get reasonable gains on all exercises?
-------------- All the best
Warmly

While you always want to try to increase weights, and good rule of thumb to follow is this...If you can hit you target number of reps with out to much strain, than add weight. So if that 25lbs feels light your form is great and you can hit the reps with little problems, then add weight. Remeber this as well, it is not so much about the weight as it is how you use that weight. Do not add weight cause you think you should be at a certain level. That kind of thinking will only cause you to use weights that are far to heavy. Hope this helped!

Don't worry so much about weight. People who do that tend to get sloppy. When you can increase the weight and do so while maintaining good form, that's when you should boost it, whether it takes one workout or one month.
