Because of the previous injury in my wrist I am still unable to do forearm curls (or dips... they seem to be the only two exercises I cannot do). Is there any replacement exercise I can do to target that muscle?

Forearms are the secondary muscle group affected when doing regular and reverse bicep curls, deadlifts, cleans, etc.

can u not do them period................or can u not do the weight ur used too?.........cause if u lighting the weight i beat u can do them..........i have many injuries from my wrist do to cheerleading( bad on the wrists)nwo i have to wrap them on certain excercises, lighten the weight to where u can do it, lot of people get injured there ego won't let them lighten the weight so they can do it, even if it hurts a lil bit,, i just got off a really really bad anckle sprain, an di could squate no more than 225 or dead lift barly 250.......but hay i set my ego aside and found a way, i did that weight over and over again, now i'm back up to doing 404 for reps on squate and 450 for reps on deadlift

borpillicus, I to have a wrist injury that has caused me some difficulty with my work out plan. I have done what bigandrew stated and lowered the weight and was fine. I however was foolish and started to increase before I was truly ready and have had to lay back on the work outs. The most difficult for me was the wrist curls. SO if you can do a curl us light weight, as low as 10lbs.

To Big Andrew: My wrist injury prevents me from even trying to do them. Even the motion with nothing but my arm hurts the wrist.

I typically keep my wrist wrapped from beginning to end of my workout (while lifting), though for some workouts its not really required. It was a pretty serious wrist injury (2 fractures within six weeks and more sprains then I can count on my fingers, all in the same area)

well if u have frastures y the hell you working otu for then??? i mean u can do some serious ass damage, u can keep the boes from healing properly,u can deform then........let ur body do one thing at a time man let it heal b4 u start to work out again.......ur body is a complex machine if ur working out and breaking muscle down, thats engery ur body is using to fix ur muscles and not repairing ur wrists.............and yes i have sprained my wrists abotu a dozen times, i have jamed them countless times tryy to catch girls.....best thing to do is to stop and let it heal, or u could further injury urself

To bigandrew: As I mentioned in my first post these are previous injuries, the fracture itself has been healed for several months now. The tissue however never got 100% better. The bone and muscle are strong again, its just the tissue around the fracture that is sore.

I think this is a pain that will probably stick with me for the rest of my life, so I am trying to work around it.

Trust me on this, I know better then working out with an injury. Its better to wait a few months, then hurt yourself for life.
