Hi all,
I have just decided to incorporate weight training into my exercise plan. The only drama I have is that I already do 2 aerobic classes per week,I try and do a few laps of the pool a couple of times a week, I can't exercise on one particular day and I wish to 3 sessions of weight training per week. What would be the best way to work this all in and still have a rest day (or two). Actually with the rest days how many should you have? Thanks for your help. This web site is great motivation to become healthier!!!1

You could fit all of these in if you concentrate on your aerobic classes on your non-weight training days. As far as the number of rest days, it really depends on your goals. If you are weight training at least 3 times per week, you could have 2-3 rest days. Do your aerobics with your swimming on the same day. That way, you can have more rest days. Here's an example:

Mon-Wed-Fri: Weight training
Tues-Sat: Aerobics/swimming
Thurs-Sun: Rest
