I'm a 19 year old male who has always been active, at least until this year. This year i started college and gained the freshman 15 plus some. In HS i was always heavily involved with sports and so i never had time to be out of shape. However I never lifted either. during the summers i would get on a workout program but rarely stayed on it for more than a week. But i want to stick with this program but figure i will probably try to quit the first time i have to go in to lift with sore muscles. I think my biggest problem is keeping motivated. I need to find a way to keep motivated. Any ideas?

One of the cheapest methods to keep motivated is to print out the post that you just made, tape it to your mirror and then use that mirror to see if the way you are progressing (or not) is what you want. As you get older, it's fairly easy to maintain what you had but it takes a little more effort.

Dustin..try what Mike said and eventually the motivation becomes habit!

I went through all my M&F Hers and found a woman with a build similar to mine, but who has already reached her body building goals. In other words she looks great! I cut out as many pics of her as I could find and taped them up in key places at home and at work. (Inside the pantry, on the fridge, on the bathroom mirror, over my nightstand, on my PC.) NOw I am constantly reminded of what I CAN look like if I stick with my program.

I took a picture of myself today looking like a real wimp, I might add. I'm gonna put it on the wall to keep me motivated. All I have to do is see the picture and thats motivation enough for me. I'll take a new picture every 2 weeks to keep me even more motivated.
