Been hearing a lot about this. Read in a magazine that research showed that the only supplements (out of many tested) to increase both mass and strength were creatine and HMB (I think it said by around 200 percent). Ill try to find out were I read it....just wondering everyones thoughts. Searched for HMB, didnt find anything, so.....
thanks all

The doseage needed is really impractical. It is decent, but not at the doseages sold. It is very cost prohibitive to realize those type gains advertised. It is another case of "false advertising", as yes, it can have great effects, and they use this as a marketing promotion, but what they don't tell you is the doseage used in these studies.
If you are going to use it, stacked with Arginine and creatine can be useful, but again the doseage is high.

I've had good gains using HMB, creatine, ZMA and CLA. My 1RM Bench Press went from 150 to 300 lbs. in 18 weeks. Gains for all muscle groups were near the same 200% increase. I lost 5% bodyfat, yet gained ten pounds. Dosage wise I use 1.5 grams HMB (SciFit Extra Strength)before my workout and take 1.5 grams HMB with 5 grams creatine (Universal Nutrition Creatine chews)immediately after I complete my workout. I take 3 grams of HMB and 5 grams of creatine on my off days. Everyday I take 4.5 ml of CLA (VPX Thinfat) and four capsules of ZMA Cytodyne Z-Mass PM). I take the ZMA right before I go to sleep.

Is all this stuff safe to take?
-------------- It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health.
