This is the next "big thing" and the latest move in the weight-loss industry to separate you from your wallet. Bodybuilders were hit with these Cortisol blockers just a few years ago, being hailed as the great anti-catabolic, etc. They went no where fast and quickly died out. Recently, I've seen several companies come out with similar products, all within the last 6 months. Now that Ephedra has become the redheaded step-child of the supplement world, these same late night infomercial corporations now need a new magic bullet for the couch potato culture (present company excluded, of course).
There are several ways to help control Cortisol's effects, glutamine possibly being one, but to block it, as these products claim? Cortisol is a very widely used hormone in the body, needed for many major functions, and is extremely important. Even if these products' claims were accurate, I don't think Cortisol is something that would want to stop entirely from operating.
