I dont have any exercise equipment. Im wondering if you know of anything that could be used as dumbbells and a barbell?

You can use plastic bottles filled with sand or plain cans for dumbbells and a broom stick instead of a barbell on certain exercises for the back and the waist that do not require weight (seated twists etc).

You cold also try hanging sandbags at the ends of the broomstick to make it heavier.

I filled four four litre milk jugs with sand, hung them from a broom stick to use for squats, calf raises and bench presses... although it makes the handle area a bit small... you may want to go get or find a five or six food bar somewhere to attatch the things to. With the four jugs, the barbell weighed (If my scale is corret) about 60 pounds. You can take the jugs off to use for curls too!

Tim,

That's a GREAT idea! I've been having the same problem. I've got some machine equipment that isn't always sufficient for the routines I need to do. Yesterday I needed a barbell - you're idea will help a lot in the future.
