Hi all. I'm new to this website and am hoping beyond hope that I get the help that I need to lose this "Extra, Extra, read all about it" weight. I have been struggling with my weight for the past 6 years (now 36). I'm 5'7" and weigh 187lbs when I should be around 159. I have been diagnosed with an overactive thyroid and can keep the weight off only when I'm not taking my medication. I just recently started taking it again and went from 169 to 187 in just 2 months. It slows my metabolism way down. Normally I don't do anything to lose weight except not take my meds...but, I can't keep doing that. So here I am. Able and willing (to some degree) to do what I need to do to take the pounds off. Encouragement is what I need since I don't do to well with encouraging myself.

Glad to be here and hoping to be slimmer soon!

Welcome to FT lil2sweet. I don't know enough about your medical condition to be of much help. If normal diet and exercise doesn't help your situation, there are undoubtably folks here who have similar predicaments that can make suggestions.

Pick a beginners routine and get hot! Do some research on proper diet and follow your nose. With the Docs approval it can't hurt.
