Granola bars have been a staple in my diet for the last couple years. I know they are high in carbs, but I am not sure what kind of carbs. Is it just crappy sugar carbs?

sugar carbs and fat! Better of with a kitkat or snickers, or if you really want, a good quality protein bar.

Hehe, well I don't eat the coated double chocolate granola bars or anything like that. The box always boasts "low fat" on it. And according to its nutritional facts they are only 1 or 2 grams of fat per bar.
But it wasn't the fat I was worrying about, rather the sugar carbs. I figured as much though. There is no way I could afford protien bars (they are like 2 bucks a bar), but maybe I could replace the granola with some other complex carb from a bread or fruit.
Any suggestions?

I've had this same question for quite some time. If my granola bars are 37 grams of carbs and 12 come from sugars, I feel like I could be doing a lot worse. Am I way off here?
