Pasta-fairly high on the glycemic index. I would say yes.

Yup and if you make your own, you can add your protein in to the dough to make it a high protein carb meal.

Pasta = carbs...thought this was bad before bed. Carbs before 3PM...more protein after that I thought? Am I incorrect?

Yes carbs before bed is not a good idea. I'm sure it will make you sleep though. You are correct about the protein after 3.

Pasta is a great post workout meal(after your post workout shake)....about the only time of the day it's good to eat simple carbs...

simple carbs is a pretty bad idea because you're likelier to store them as fat....instead stick to slow digesting protein...or fiber rich snack...

i thought pasta was a complex carb...especially brown pasta
i read it on bobybuilders.com...i also read somewhere that your dinner meal should contain protein and complex carbs (more protein though), and carbs facilitate the transport of amino acids from protein foods into muscle to trigger new growth. also Carbs are the first thing that are burned off, then fats, and then lastly, protein. If you burn off protein you are losing muscle...this probably dosent account for much while u sleep, but u still use energy while u sleep!
This is basically what i thought are true, but u cant believe everything u read, so please correct me if im wrong :)

Yes breads and cereals are complex carbs...Go for whole grain ones...Whole wheat pasta, brown rice pasta...etc.
