Hi, I think shoulders has got to be my favourite workout because I can see the most definition and separation in them. However, I'm having problems working the rear delts as hard as I want to and they appear to be behind in overall size.

Are there any particular exercises that target the rear delts without worrying too much about cheating (pulling in other muscles; ie. back, or traps)?? I never really seem to feel the burn where I think I should be....

Thanks a lot!

Nevermind, I found the answers I was looking for. My gym doesn't have a PeckDeck that can be used for rear delts, so I've been trying the Bent-Over Raises (not sure of the proper name), but I usually feel the middle of my back taking the brunt of the work. I'll have to work on form a little harder with some light weights to see if it makes a difference. Either way, not a huge deal - after examining my shoulders a little more I don't think they're THAT much disproportionate.

Bent over rear laterals are great. Sit on the edge of a bench, bend over slightly at the waist, and act like the weights are on your elbows, and lift up the dumbbells pushing up the elbows. Great to target the rear delts.

I think the way you've described the movement will help me out; thank you. I haven't been pushing up with the elbows consciously.

That was good info for me as well. Maybbe someone needs to go in greater depth to how these exercises need to be done correctly.

It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health.
