When I work out my muscle swells but it never really gets tight on my chest. My bycepts get hard but my chest, back, and lats get swollen and soft.

Is this a problem because of my form? or is it a normal thing?

The chest is a large muscle and usually you use compound type exercises to work it such as benches, declines, inclines, etc. This means more muscle groups are involved, and may be shouldering some of the load. As mentioned in another post, try some pre fatiguing, and check your form. Try to "tense" or pose the chest on beginning your benches for instance, and hold that through your set, and it will force you to concentrate more on the chest and take some of the shoulders out of it. You should feel it more.

i always follow a workout with a big pose down....i strike a pose, flexing whatever muscles, and i hold it until i can't anylonger.....i hit a couple different poses for the same muscles and keep the pump going....it takes more work for those bigger muscles but it can work.

What you do is great, it will increase nutrient rich blood pump to the area, get you in tune with your muscles, and the isometric is great for added growth. Pose each muscle for 1 minute following your last set, it sounds easy, but in acutality is very difficult. Good post ivandead.

It is VERY difficult, especially after a long workout. I highly suggest it though...it seems to give the muscles some added shape by driving the blood into them with each pose. Good for you ivandead.
