When the primary goal is hypertrophy, should all sets of one specific exercise(for instance, chin-ups)be executed consecutively, as opposed to moving from, say, a set of chins to a set of cable-crunches then a set of barbell hammer-curls ,etc. until you're back to chins (assuming other aspects of the w/o, & nutrition, rest etc. are right-on for hypertrophy as a goal)??? Do I wipe-out on chins before going to C-crunches, wipe out on them before going to curls, etc., go through the W/O like that? I've been mixing it up(kind of like circuit T). What pattern is usually more condusive to stimulating a hypertrophic response? !thanks!

Consecutively-That is generally how it is done. However, there are all sorts of routines and schemes people use in order to maximize their workout. Variation plays an important role in adaptation. It's really a matter of personal preference and the results that you get.

O.K. Yeah, I've been working-out 6 mo., never had before. But I clearly see the validity(from info from ppl who I'm assuming ought to know)of 'shocking', surprising the body w/ a rich variety of w/o patterns(a good imagination's handy). Thanks again.

There really is no "set pattern" as the body adapts very quickly. Therefore, you just have to experiment.
Good luck!
