Hi there! Im so glad i found this message board!. Im trying to loose weight (50 pounds!) and tone up...I started a gym on the 15th of December...I go every day, I do 33 minutes on the elliptical trainer with the weight loss program so the incline goes up and down...then i do 25 minutes on the treadmill changing the incline from 2-5 every 5 minutes. After that i go and do at least 5 reps of several excersizes for the arms, abs and chest for approx. 30 minutes. So, with all that i dont know how many calories i should be taking in-i dont want to buff up! lol I first gained 4 pounds when i started!! and now i just lost one in a week-am i doing somethng wrong??
Tia, your diet may have a lot to do with it. Also, you really should do your cardio after weight training. In any event, it sounds like you have increased your daily activity level but need to decrease your caloric intake.
Try doing a search for figuring out what your daily maintenance calories should be. Then, your goal is to lower your intake based on your current activity level. This will help you lose weight.
