I'm doing my exercise plan on two days a week. The problem I think I have is that I read somewhere that you should not allow more than three days between training a muscle group. Something about if you wait that long you haven't really gained anything. The way my program is I'll only be training a group one time a week. So is that true? I hate to think I'm doing this for nothing.

Well where did you read that? Rest is important I am on a 3 day split. Over training is a problem to be avoided, your rest days are when your muscles heal and grow. You will be fine with your program good luck - Mike
-------------- I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain

i prefere doing 3 day splits or 4 days splits at the most............say i do legs on monday( squats) i don't do squats again tell next monday.......however on thurdays i do deadlifts( which envolves legs) and i also do some power cleans on shoulder days( wich again u use legs) even though ur not using a muscle, you might be iusing it as a stablilzer in another lift........besides u walk all day long there being used too..........ur back stabilizes ur chest and torso, but whe u do back excercises ur chest stabilizes to keep ur chest high..........so ever muslce is worked at oen time another.........train on mon wed fri.........rest the other days or do some cardio.....or work out mon wed thur fri and rest the other days.......or light cardio...........rest is what makes u grow....nto working out, that is the tool to break down the muscle for the rest to make it grow........make sense?
