Hi! I am still pretty new to the boards so please pardon my ignorance. I have made a workout schedule based on work, life, etc.. and determined that I will be working out Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday with Sunday being a cheat day. Is that something that I should be doing? Some people have told me it's ok to have a cheat day to stop me from relapsing back to my old eating habits, while others have said that it will just slow down my weight loss progress. Again I apologize if this has been posted before, but I wanted to get some input on this. Thanks!

I think a cheat day is okay, as long as you don't go overboard. Yes, progress might be slowed down but not as much as if you restarted old habits.

It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health.

Since you are just starting out, I wouldn't get hung up on a cheat day. It COULD turn into a disaster. I would plan in a cheat meal instead, and continue your gains. But thats just me.
Save the cheat day for a celebration!
