I'm hitting the gym twice a week-on my off days from work. I workout legs and back on Mondays, and tuesdays I do chest, shoulders, and arms. I know that if I work hard I can get some benefit out of this training, but I'm wondering if doing lighter weights exercise routines icluding calisthenics(push ups and stuff)would give better results if I add them to my routine--something like this: mondays- legs and back, tuesdays, chest, shoulders, bis and tris, wdnesday-abs and cardio, thurdays legs and back with no more than a 90 pounds weights, friday-abs and carido-saturday calisthenics, push ups, dips and other simple exercises, sunday off. Would that work better than leaving 5 days off (even simple calisthenics)? My main goal is to gan size mostly on my legs. Thank you.
