Hey all,

Question for you. In all these mixes and stuff like cornbread, muffins, etc. When you look at the labels on it and it says say for instance. I have a muffin mix that says 4.5 G fat. Is that 4.5g of fat before I put the oil/applesauce, eggs, and water whatever in it? Or is that after those ingredients are added?

And is there anyone that does baking? Do you know if you can use just egg whites when they call for an egg in like a cake or something or will it bake like that? hehe

Just wondering. Making all my own stuff 'cause I can make it fat free and that way I can concentrate on the carbs, calories and proteins and vitamins instead of fats.

Lemme know oh wise nutritional people! :) hehe

THanks!

Usually where it tells about the fat there will be an asterick *. Look down and it will give you the correct values for the added stuff like eggs, milk, etc. I don't know about cakes and such but for cornbread I use egg whites and skim milk. I can't tell the difference.

Coolness. That's what I needed to know. ;) I got a kitchenaid mixer for Christmas so I'm thinking of every reason in the world to use it. ;) hehehe

Oh ... And I went out and got the Sarah Schlesinger (sp) 500 Fat Free Recipes too. She has one for Fat Free Baking, Cooking, Desserts, and I'm sure some more but those are the 3 I got.

WOOT WOOT!
