I'm trying to loose fat and I know nuts are high in calories and fat! If I can have some nuts, what should be a limit? Does anyone have any idea?
I don't eat meat or dairy products! I only eat little fruit, plenty of green vegetables, some beans, 2 soy protein shakes and 8 egg whites a day! The egg whites come from a carton! 1 egg serv. has only 30 cal. 6g protein and 0g of fat!
I'm trying to make sure I get enough protein a day, and I'm trying to use what I can, but I don't want to use something that won't help me loose fat! I've also heard that nuts help burn fat, but I still want to know, if that's true then what would be my limit? I have around 1300-1400 calories a day, plus 100-200 more calories from condaments! (fat & sugar free though!)
Would anyone know the answer to this question?
Thanks for your time! Have a great day!

Nuts are a good source of protein and 'good' fats. However, they are high in calories. I think 2 oz.=about 170-200 calories. If you are trying to lose fat, then you have to create that caloric deficit. If you can fit nuts into your diet plan while maintaining a caloric deficit, you should. But remember to eat them in moderation. Personally nuts are like Lay's potato chips to me. I find it hard to eat just one. Almonds=spectacular.

Thanks agamble! I agree! When I try to eat just 1oz or 2 I end up almost eating a whole cup! So I think I'm going to try to say away from them most of the time and just eat a cup of beans instead! beans are Less fat and more filling!
Thanks for your time! Have a great day!

1 oz. of walnuts a day is fine. They are probably the best in ratio of Omega 3-6.

Almonds would probably be your next best. They too are a good nut, but walnuts are a bit better in the omega 3's.
