This is directly from a newsletter I get, a very good one I might add. So, I am not making this up....
Masturbation may be protective...Frequent masturbation, especially in young adulthood, may lower a mans risk of prostate cancer, according to a recent study by Australian scientists. The study, reported in BJU International(August, 2003), examined the sexual habits of more than 2300 men, about 1/2 of whom had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Men who reported ejaculating more frequently-with or without sexual intercours-between ages of 20 and 50 were less likely to develop prostate cancer. Also, men who ejaculated more than 5 times per week in their 20's were 1/3 less likely to develop aggressive prostate cancer later in life. Researchers suspect frequent ejaculation may prevent carcinogens from building up in the prostate gland. Well, there it is folks..there have been some questions on here as to masturbation affecting you. -------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... |

sweet im going to be healty as a horse. NO fingers from the doc anytime soon-------------- I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. Soooo many questions...
1. Since masturbation is part of a healthy lifestyle (according to BJU), shouldn't this activity be considered when fine tuning our workout programs? 2. And what about overtraining? 3. Does masturbation fall under cardio or "wait" training? 4. Should you incorporate High Intensity Training? 5. Light sets? 6. Drop sets? 7. How exactly do you "run the rack" (like when you use successively lighter or heavier dumbbells)? 8. And how about pre-exhaustion techniques? 9. Is stretching before and after important? 10. Is it okay to use straps and/or hooks? 11. How about using chalk (assuming it's okay with the gym owner)? 12. I've heard that power lifters sometimes use smelling salts beforehand to psych themselves out. Is this okay? 13. No longer than 45 minutes? (Otherwise you start eating away at muscle tissue)? Just curious. 14. Tanning and shaving to make the muscle stand out more and to improve vascularity? Trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle is hell. TSMD |

Geez, I try so hard to keep you guys informed of the most groundbreaking health information around, and what do you do with the information? Make fun of it!! <LOL>..
Tenor, those are good ones! By the way, for any who were "asking", BJU is not what you would think it stands for!! It is the British Journal of Urological Surgeons. I had my fun with it too, but it really was a legitimate article!! Like there is a guy at work who is 400 lbs. easy, looks like Herman Munster too, so I immediately showed him and told him he would never have to worry about prostate cancer! -------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... |

My husband used to live in Virginia and work on a fishing boat when he was 15 - 16 years old. A friend of his ask him what he done and he told him he was the "master baiter".

A local baking company (Nickels) ran a TV/radio spot quite some time ago. It only aired a few times that I saw/heard, but the tag line was, "At Nickels, we're all master bakers!"

Years ago in the Navy, I had one of those near death or real death experiences. I was on a refueling detail and my job was to flake down the line as 200 other sailors hauled the fuel hose from a giant tanker. The line flaker stood at the end of the 200 man line and coiled the rope . Well it gets very turbulent between 2 ships that close to each other. We took a bad roll , the sea caught the rope I was coiling and swept me and the rope between the lifelines and overboard. A very quick ,large Italian guy caught my arm and pulled me back aboard after I drank half the North Atlantic.
I know that much of the story is absolutly true. The rest is hazy but went kind of like this. I thought I was dead and made my way for the light. When I got there I remember thinking how glorius. I was ushered into St Peters office and you won't believe what was there. Clocks. Clocks everywhere. There were big clocks , small clocks , fast and slow clocks. My curiosity was overwhelming. I asked St Peter about them and was told that there was a clock there for every soul who had ever lived. Amazing. Even more amazing was that all of these clocks ran at different speeds. Whoa, this was incredible. "Why do they all run at different speeds" I asked . He said the different speeds measured the frequency that each person masterbated. I was shocked. Unbelievable. I said "you mean you have one for my future buddy delts? He nodded and said "yep right over there" "And my lil brother Fryer??"said I," uh huh " was his reply. He pointed them out and actually one for all my friends past and present. Well, I had to know ..."D D Do you have one for me????? He said "yep, I keep it on my desk, use it for a fan!!!! Then I woke up. -------------- Living well is the best revenge. Charlie | |

It's easy for guys to take care of their um, urges. It isn't as easy for a girl. This guy at work made a comment though about it. He said a woman can just about get it anytime she wants to because most guys will say yes to her. Especially if she looks good. But he said a guy has to woo a woman or take her out a few times before he gets any. He said it was harder for a guy to find a willing woman anytime than it is for a woman to find a willing guy. He said guys wanted it all the time no matter what. Is this true???

Women don't talk about things like that like men do, if they do then they are not considered a "lady". They are called something else. All kinds of subjects come up on here and I was just wondering about what you guys thought of girls doing the masturbation thing.

Not at all, on the contrary, you are asking a question from a healthy perspective. This gives credence to wanting knowlege to better live. I wish I could help you, have no studies or experience in the female area of this discussion.

Well it looks like the research is giving us guys a better change at avoiding the big C as long as we do the palming once or twice or three times a week.:)Well off to the races.
Charlie, tenor, and the others some really funny stuff:big_smile::laugh::laugh: Thanks for the info bb1fit. You do find the interesting and informative research and info. |

Studies don't mean much to me on topics like this. I know what to do and how I feel. I'd say it is just as healthy for a woman to release her "frustrations" as it is for a man. Sometimes three or more times a week. |
