I want to buy a weight set.. whats the difference between cast iron and vinyl? Should I get 110 Ib weight set or a 100Ib with vinyl? Both are on a 90 day limited warranty... help.

Plastic can tear up. Steel is more common and therefore easier to add to later. The plastic will probably survive the warranty and the steel will last forever. Neither will float.

Go for cast iron. Vinyl while less expensive fills the bar up which means you can add moree weight to a bar using the cast iron, besides cast iron is way cooler LOL.

Cast iron. You also get that nice 'click' sound when you are added the weight
