Hey all, I was just wondering if getting up and working out at 6 AM conflicts with taking supplements with meals and all? Some supplements say to take them a half an hour before lifting. I have to work out early morning because I have classes throughout the day and sometimes into the evening. Plus I find it enjoyable to be up early working hard. Right now I am going to take creatine and my multi-vitamin within 10 minutes of waking and have my protein supplement within an hour after workout. Does that sound right? Any better times to further utilize the supplement? Thanks for any responses.

mb521786, Do you have to take your creatine before your workout? I remember reading a post from bb1fit where he explained that for better results you should take your protein shake after your workout, and right through the middle of it, you should take your creatine... I guess that might solve your problem...

Good luck!

Creatine before won't hurt either. I like to and have for years do 5 gr. before, and 5 gr. after. As mentioned, about 20 minutes into your post workout shake is a good time for creatine and glutamine, as you should have good levels of circulating insulin by this point. Take it (the creatine and glutamine if you choose to use it) by itself, not mixed with the protein shake, as it is unstable in a fluid.

Are you supposed to take creatine and glutamine together...because I think I have read somewhere that they shouldn't be taken at the same time....

It was thought at one time they would fight for absorbtion. It has long since been proven they do not, they use different receptors. No problem doing them together.
