Hello... Just a quick question... I was eating some tuna out of a can last night, and my friend told me that it's not good to eat tuna more than twice a week... According to him, tuna has a relatively high level of mercury and ions... I thought he was full of it, but I just want to make sure I'm not risking my health or anything...
thanks

I've been told that aswell by a couple people. I still eat about 1 can a day, but would like to know for sure if it causes problems.

Worry only if you are pregnant pimple. I eat it 5 days a week. The white abacore is the safest. Frequent tuna eating is a great way to thumb your nose at the government.

They go back and forth week after week in the news about tuna. I personally eat 3-5 can a week of it.

Exactly what Charlie said...the white is fine and if you are not pregnant go for it.
The reason is because they are not as large as regular skipjack or yellow tuna, therefor contain less, and also don't live as long.
All fish contain some level of the stuff, and pregnant women should be aware.

thanks you guys!
and no, pimple is not pregnant, you silly bastards =P
i ate about eight cans in the past week and a half or so, and after i was told about its probable danger, i kind of left the cans on the cupboard... but since i'm not pregnant, i guess i'll go back to attacking them again...
thanks again...
