I am 13 and i want to know how to improve my muscles. I really want to lose weight first though. So i am asking what kind of excercises should i be doing. By the way i am 5'2 and 97 pounds.

sign up for a program here on FT...put in ur info and get started...you might not wanna here this but your only 13 remember...dont over do it..take it easy

I'd say eating right is the best routine for people of any age (and either sex)...

You seem pretty interested in fitness, and judging from your posts you seem like a sponge sucking up knowledge. I am going to ask you one thing and please do not take this the wrong way. If you don't like to run, then probably do some jumping jacks, and if you don't like to do that, then you probably don't like to do anything else so maybe your just lazy. lol
You have to keep motivated. Exercise will only get you so far. Eat right and lower your calories to lose weight. DX |

try hitting a heavy punching bag for a few rounds, no running there and its a great work out. other things like skipping and biking would be great but if you dont like running chances are your not going to be into skipping. the question should be how motivated are you to lose that weight. if you really want to do it you'll put aside personal preferences and go all out. the magic mindframe to be in is "im going to lose this weight *no matter what*" anything else is just setting your self up for failer.
