Hi. My name is Shawna and I am 17 years old. I'm 5'4 tall and I weigh about 230lbs. Basically, I have been overweight my whole life and I have finally decided to do something about it. I come across this site yesterday and so far I like everything I see. I think one of the main reasons I haven't done anything in the past is because I really didn't know what exercises I needed to do. I'm still a little confused with the exercise plan you guys have made for me. For push-ups even though I can't do them (it hurts) I don't know what to put for weight used. Also, will this plan work for me since I'm so overweight or should I do more? If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. :) Thanks!

Welcome to the FT Site! You're on the right track already!

For the input weight, put zero unless you are using some weights as a resistance. If you start using some actual weights for it or any other exercise, input their weight.

Also, it's important to watch what you eat. Keep an eye on things you put into your body and before you know it things will start to change for the better.

Another thing that is a must is cardio. Start with walking, doesn't matter how much, but build it up and that will help shed pounds too...

Again, welcome to FT and make sure you ask any questions you might have!

Welcome to the site medina!!!! You should find an exercise program and follow it. There are a lot of easy exercises on this site so if you can't do push-ups don't worry. You should also work out what a good diet will be for you. Don't go to a very big diet suddenly, it's bad for your body. You should go slowly at first in the first few weeks, then when you have started losing pounds then go on a heavier diet. For starters you should also be doing 2-3 days of cardio per week, and as you get more used to your new way of lifestyle then you should be doing 5 days of cardio. Don't go to heavy on the exercises, be patient and you will see results i am sure about it. Take it easy and lose some pounds. Bye and good luck.
