Hey alright, i thought id come here and ask because my doctors are f*heads...and have never really given me a good answer. So, heres my two questions really.

Im a pretty fit guy, and i can do all basic workouts, but now that im working on bodybuilding again, ive noticed a problem that i've had since birth is bugging me again. I have always been able to dislocate my shoulder on command (either by pulling on it myself, or by just using the muscles in my arm without touching it....i know...messed up huh?) Well ive been to several doctors and trainers...and they just say keep working on it and it will improve the ligaments etc. Well ive noticed that theyve tightened up slightly and its slightly harder to pop out...i mean it never comes out while im lifting....but like when i do lateral raises for shoulder exercises...i feel my shoulder POP....Ive always had that feeling...and ive even had trainers check my form....it just messed.........any suggestions?

Second question: My left arm (bicep most specifically) is a bit weaker than my right arm...like when im curling, my right arm is still going strong, but ill feel my left one tryin to fart out on me....how do i strengthen this to even it out? I thought about just keeping going and not worrying about it, because it would eventually work itself out...but i dont wanna do somethiign stupid like that i thought id come to you guys and see whats up.

Thanks for any helpful responses in advance.

well with your curling issue im guesing that your are right handed? If this is the case this is your dominant arm. The dominant arm is usually going to be slightly stronger due to constant use during the course of your life. Use dumbells to do curls, that way you isolate each bicep. With the shoulder some peoples ligaments are just more naturaly flexible than others. I wouldnt worry unless this causes some pain or you have droped the weights because of it.

yea i have the same problem with my arms and actually shoulders do to cheerleading( most stunts go to my right side of body so that shoulder is bigger as well as the arm) this is called a bilateral defiency(sp) basicly dominate arm is stronger.......what I wuould do that i have been doing myself, is if you watch your self curl or whatever I have a tendancy to look at my right arm( cause its bigger lol) watch your left arm work, and really concentrate on it, make it do the work> You have to really think about it but it does work........as bb1 told me use a barbell to do this, if you use dumbells that arm will jsut poop out on you and you can';t do nothing, but with a barbell your right arm( dominate) is kinda " spotting" the left arm and when the right arm goes the left will have to take over.............kinda confusing hope its clear lol

Thanks for the help also, i've had the same problem with my right shoulder but i think it is getting worse, where i'll be doing sets of lets say 50 pushups and almost every time when i'll get to about 40ish i'll hear a popping noise and next thing i know i'm on the ground. getting it back in isn't a problem but i've been noticing a pain in my elbow as well but i'm not sure if thats from not enough stretching or working out but do you have any suggestions before i go spend the money to see a doctor?

For the dominate arm thing, you could also start doing any dumbell curl set with the left hand instead of the right. I tended to start off with my stronger arm and I'd get 10 solid reps out and when I moved to the weaker arm, I could barely get 9. If you started with the weak arm, then you would know only to do 9 reps on your right arm to kinda even things out.
