How come the diet tries to cut out sodium? I thought that it's an important electolite that needs to be repolaced in your body. If you sweat then the body looses sodium and doesn't function properly. Although i realise that it retains water, I am not sure how long the effect lasts for. Is water retention the only reason to go for low sodiu food? I an also defending salt cause I am totally addicted to it!!!

Salt(nacl) and sodium(na) are to differnt things. Yet related things

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain
