hello..

I usually workout 6 times a week, 3 times at the gym and 3 nights at martial arts. All workouts are later in the day, martial arts dont start untill 7:00pm, I eat dinner at around 5:30pm. How much should be carb? Protein? Fat? And when I get home I have a protein shake and go to bed around 10:00pm. Is this ok? On gym days I goto the gym around 4:30.
Which I try to eat a snack around 3:30 (usually a protein bar or a piece of fruit or sometimes both) then I come home have a can of tuna or some type of protein, and start dinner. Is any of this right? I should say my goal is to lose weight.

I have trouble deciding what to eat when as well, and did a lot of reading on this website of past posts to figure out what would work for me..

It's tough when you work out in the evening because you need to eat dinner somewhere in there, but don't want to eat heavy before the gym (blood flow to digestion instead of muscles), yet you don't want to eat heavy after the gym and sleep on it..

I break my dinner up and eat some good carbs an hour or so before exercise, then the protein afterwards. I try to keep my fat below that recommended by ft's nutrition tracker by dividing it among my three bigger meals and avoiding it altogether for the other two.

I've also found it helps to stop thinking of it as 'dinner', and focus on my 5 meals a day and what they each consist of based on when my activity will be.

Hope that helps? :)
