...on purpose, 100lbs for a set of deadlifts....

Now, that may not seem like much, but when I first tried them I thought there was no way humanly possible to do them for more that a few reps and a couple sets...

The very first set I did were 21 at 65lbs...

Tonight:

25 by 65lbs
21 by 65lbs
12 by 90
and 11 by 100lbs!

It can only go up from there!

Keep up the great work. Like you said..."It only gets better". I'm sure you can do 12 x 100 on your first set!

Wonderful progress! It is so cool lifting heavier poundages, isn't it? Keep up the great work. Your progress is evident. Good job.

Thanks guys... means a lot!

I was following the FT program of 20/12/10/8 and started the first set with 65lbs then 65/90/100... I believe that's what how it worked out... should I try lower reps with a higher weight off the get go?

Stick to the program, if you feel you can go 10lbs more on the first set...it's time to change that also.
Good Luck.

I like to use a simple rule of thumb, don't fix what isn't broken. In other words,if what you are doing right now is working for you, stay with it. When it stops, it is time to "fix" it.

Thanks again! I can feel it in my back today, not bad back pain, but more of a 'hey, what are you doing' from my body... hehe... feels good...

Way to go Tim! Due to past back problems I'm very careful about those darn things so every pound I get to add is VERY special to me. So I know where you are coming from. Keep up the good work.
