hello....well i just typed me a messag and accidently deleted it! so im gona have to scale it down, first off hello to any1 reading this, looks a very intresting and useful site here, next off i got a ouple of questions, 1st off, what would you guys consider a decent bench press in weight and reps? im currently managing 185lbs for 3 sets at 5 reps, but my theory was to hit it heavier for a session, then go for lighter and more reps next time out to try and increase my usual bench weight,???
and what sort of stuff should i be eating to gain weight, mass, and manage to keep this thing rollin without killin myself?

Welcome to FT, dangerous_dave...
Do a quick search for info on bench presses... plenty of discussion about them on the site....
As for food... do a search for bodybuilders grocery list. bbft1 has posted it on the site and it has a HUGE variety of foods to chow down on...
Welcome!

First you should fill in your profile and nutrition program. You will find all kinds of good stuff on this site.
I have been able to find answers and ideas for all my fitness and diet questions.
Good luck and welcome

Dave also dont just concentrate on bench. There are other lifts out there. Like my favorite the squat. For food high protein moderate carbs low fat.

I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain
