Why do people get lightheaded when they work out? Is this Bad or you are doing a good job by working out hard?

Well when I get light headed its generally due to a lack of Carbs that day. If I skipped a meal or something I can get light headed when doing cardio. But generally I do not.

Other reason I would think (I'm not 100% positive here) would be bad blood Circulation. Perhaps your head isn't getting enough..??

Lightheadedness can also be caused by low blood pressure. I have it and sometimes get lightheaded just getting up a little too quickly.
And I agree - watch your breathing - some people tend to hold their breath sometimes when working out.

I get light headed if i'm lifting somthing heavy( deadlifts or squats) sometimes this can happen as easly as standing up to fast, and yes of coarse like the others said by holding your breath. As long as its not a constant thing I think your ok, but if it have 5 or more times during an hour might want to go see a doc.

Usually I get lightheaded when I dont breath right...and sometimes when I go real heavy on deadlifts or squats...but I think that its just from the massive strain....

i've also learned that lightheadedness can be caused by lack of fluids, or too low of a blood sugar. It it isn't excessive but becomes annoying try drinking a sports drink (gatorade, powerade etc.)
