If it was 4-5 lbs of muscle over 2 or 3 months, than that's great!
Taking creatine with a gainer is fine, as long as the rest of your whole food diet is sufficient. I used to use Nlarge a few years ago: took one serving post-workout, along with 10g of creatine, and it work fine.
