I am going to start taking a protien supplement. I was wondering which brand to start with?

DO a fitbuddy search there alot of posts about this. Also you want to look at quality of protein vs quantity.

the big thing I look at is how much money am i geting for my protein. Also how much a "serving is"
Nitro tech is a "name brand protein" its about 20-30 dollar a jug for 2.2lbs. an dit take 2 scoops to equal a serving
100% whey( that I take) Its about 35 dollars a jug for 5lbs. ( much better deal) an done serving is one scoop.
that what I look at...........and of coarse next is taste, don't buy somthing you think is nasty and makes your throw up or somthing, try many kinds and see what works best for you. Depening on what your wanting to do, depends on how many carbs you need in it and calories in it also. If your a bigger guy and tend to store body fat eaiser, then go with low carb/ high protein blend. If your skinny then go high calorie high carb and protein.

Optimum Nutrition has 5 lbs. for $25 of their old formulation, which is quite good for post nutrition. The chocolate mint is very tasty. Good quality for the price.

I agree with bb1fit, I also use ON chocolate mint and I love it. It is better for you taken with water after your workout, but taste much better with milk, even though that slow down the digestion which is a no no after your workout.. LOL
