Alright everyone, I am a 20 year old male that is in the Air Force. I go to the gym and lift probably 4-5 days a week. I weigh roughly 200 lbs. I don't do a lot of cardio. I'm trying to lose a fair amount of weight while cutting up my chest, arms, and midsection. I try to eat right, but sometimes it's hard because they just don't have good stuff for you to eat in the Air Force everyday. I'm debating on whether or not to start taking Zantrex. It's a weight loss supplement. I heard it worked well. I just want to cut up before I go back home to Florida in 8 weeks. Anyone have any other suggestions for me? I'm not 200 lbs of fat, I have 17" biceps, a 47" chest, an 18" neck. I'm just stout, but I just want to be back around 185 lbs and have a little more definiton and up my self esteem. Can anyone help me?
Welcome to ft. Sounds like you are off to a good start. I would suggest that you sign up for the ft 'progressive gains' 8 week program. Follow the weightlifting routine AND implement the cardio requirements. You will have to get your diet right in order to make the most of your efforts. That may be tough given your circumstances but it is not impossible. Search the diet forums for ideas and suggestions. Also take a look at the 'bodybuilders grocery list. It is one of the most useful posts with regard to diet. Feel free to post any questions you may have. Good Luck
