HEllo everyone!!! OK>>>I NEED HELP!!! I'm just getting back into a work-out program......need to lose a bit of flab. I think the main thing is that I need motivation, so I'm glad I found this site! My question I guess, is where do I even start? I used to run XC in high school, but these last 41/2 years haven't been so good. I've gotten into the college party life and have consumed too many of those high-carb. drinks!! I'm 23 and I just want to get myself back in order! Any suggestions on where to start, how to get some decent results in a decent amount of time would be greatly appreciated!

Have you obtained a program through the FT site yet? Another super great starting point for me was the Body-For-Life book by Bill Phillips. It's easy to follow, takes 12 weeks and really brought me back to the gym in a big way. I'm into my 3rd block (12-6-12) since starting back at it in September 2003. We've all had a few too many "high-carb" drinks in our time, I think I personally had a few other people's share during my college years...

Treadmill is my "cardio" of choice as well, but don't forget the weights! They are just as important! Keep us up to date on your progress, we'll all give you a kick in the a$$ if you falter!

THANKS JC! So far today has went well.....kicked out the junk food......so far! I'm pretty busy tonight, so it shouldn't a problem. As long as I can get away from it for a few days, I do pretty good. I have been carrying around a lot of water so I get plenty of that. They say water is so important? Am I just going to gain water weight though? Any insights? Thanks for the comments! Any little bit can be of great assistance to me!!

Although I'm certainly not the "master of water", (I have to consciously think about it every day), I do know you won't just gain water weight. The water is essential to keep cleaning out the body of all the bad stuff, and facilitates the delivery of all the good stuff. So go forward and drink my good woman! Just not those high-carb beverages...
