Today was my day!...I got a new job!

goldengloves Posts: 690 Joined: 2003/09/19	2004/02/26, 01:02 PM I've been working 6-10 hours a week at kb toys for the past few months desperatly trying to find me a job...I got one today at home depot! Im excited! way better pay although im working the graveyard shift. I will be able to put myself through school next semester *yay* Only downfall is takes away from my lifting and recovery! *argh*....Im sooo happy!

goldengloves Posts: 690 Joined: 2003/09/19	2004/02/26, 01:48 PM Thanks....They told me starting out I would get $8.00 an hour and after 90 days It would go to $8.50 :)...They said they get a truck in every night monday thru friday usually consisting of 90 to 100 pallets :(...Im off weekends though and it is only 9pm-2am mon-fri not to bad really...I told them I will be starting school again soon and that said that is fine and that I will get moved to a new spot :)...So only got to go through hell for a month!

goldengloves Posts: 690 Joined: 2003/09/19	2004/02/26, 02:18 PM sure does mma lol...I know them shifts when I was working at kb toys during the winter months they would get like 1,000 boxes in of truck and they would expect us to work all night...for a few weeks straight I was pulling 5pm to 5am just about every day! It was god awful hell and the pay sucked.

goldengloves Posts: 690 Joined: 2003/09/19	2004/02/26, 02:31 PM charlie-I know I got to do it whether I like doing it well thats another story lol...I didnt ask the manager on how much of a discount I get...But when I start looking for an apartment I will look for a handy man special so I can fix it up myself and go crazy on it!....I love remodeling though...
