When I straighten my left leg (beyond straight is the problem), I have a pain in my knee just below the knee cap. After 10 minutes into my soccer game last night it felt fine expect when I tried to strike the ball too hard. I felt a numbness that went all the way down my leg and then faded quickly. What kind of damage could be done to my knee?

This may sound obvious, but the feelings of numbness has to do with the nerves. I would see a doctor especially with pain involved. Have you had any past injuries to your knees or hip?

No passed injuries, I'm pretty sure it is just overuse. I'm playing soccer 4-5 times a week. Doc didn't say much, told me to go to physio.
