The directions on the green tea says to let steep and serve as is. Does that mean with the tea bag? Will adding sweatener and milk have a negative effect or is it just a suggest serving? Oh, and are sugar substitutes bad?

Just a suggested serving. I like to add flavors to mine. They make rasberry, peach, and one other flavor, no calories for tea. It adds a nice flavor to it. You can always add a bit of sugar substitute, no problem. they aslo make flavored green teas, like peach. I particularly like one called Golden Green Tea. It is by Traditional Medicinals. Theirs and Yogi teas are great, as well as Alvita.

I drink one called Bojenmi Herbal Tea... imported from China.... it claims to help you slim down and feel good about yourself... whatever.. I just like the flavour...
