designer whey protein question???

Hi.I purchased 5 lbs designer whey strawberry from a store and just wanted to know how do i check wether it is the real stuff or not?The box seems ok and the expiry period is given as oct 2005.The look of the powder is light and the taste is bland {as opposed to optimum strawberry}.i just wanted to know if all this is how it is and if it is the right thing.

how many scoops should one be taken maximum per day of whey protein cuz i heard that too much can lead to liver/kidny failure?

If you train, go with 1gram per lb of body weight of protein per day. Not specifaly from supplements though.
Your designer sounds ok, they are all different in taste.
