Hi
I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I am thinking of going on a low carb. high protein eating plan (may be something like Atkins).
I'm planning on taking whey protein supplements and may be even creatine (if it is low carb).

Will this plan help me put on muscle? I'm not over weight, just a bit loose around the mid section.

I workout 3 to 4 times a week and cycle my bike to college nearly everyday.

Please could someone help as i'm new to all this stuff.

I have looked through the message boards, but can't seem to make up my mind. Some people are saying that a low carb. diet is bad, while others are saying the opposite.

What do you think?

I think overall you will find that those with the most experience will preach a balanced diet. If you fill out your profile and go the the nutrition portion it will create your daily requirements for you.
Good Luck!

If you are trying to put on muscle, low carb isn't the way to go. You need energy to lift heavy enough to build muscle. Energy comes mostly from carbs.
focus on the good carbs - look up the grocery list for a bodybuilder post,a post called expensive nutrition and a portein primer. i wiil look for them and bump them today.
Good luck!

Thanks for the help guys. I have searched the message board and it seems that the best plan is to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day.
All I need now are some recipes, I will search the board again.
And again guys THANKS for the help.
