Casien or plain old cottage cheese fills that bill.

Are there any recommended companies that sell Casein protein?

I think you can learn what you need to off the lable. Look for low carb, sugar content and 20 or 30 grams of protein per scoop. It is still better to eat whole food. Don't overlook cottage cheese. It actually congeals in the stomach and releases protein slowly. Great for a late night snack.

Look for any protein that has a good blend, casein, whey, egg, even a bit of soy. This is what you want. Casein is your best bet, it is very slow absorbing, gels in the stomach upon digestion, thus a slow release of aminos into the bloodstream. Wonderful for before bed.
