Protein bar/shake bedtime

Am i better off taking a protien bar or protein shake before bed ??

i eat "Tri-o-plex" protien bars... or if i have a shake.. they are "pricision" Iso-Pro low carb shakes

the shakes are 131 cal
30g protein
0.6g fat
1.4 g carbs

i have the shake with about 5 ounces of 1% milk...

any suggestions on what i should do or should i discard the protein shakes and bars for something else. i am trying to gain muscle mass
