Ok I've been lifting about 3-4 times a week for the past 3 months. I don't expect to get all huge and stuff to the snap of my fingers but i'm ready to get into things. The warm up time is over. I weight 185 and im 5'11'' and im 19. I wanna get the classic bigger muscle look and very defined look w/out getting bulky. Ive been looking at GNC with their creatine mix or their whey product. Which one is better or are neither? I've been true to my cardio and lifting and my diet has been so and so. I just dont eat very much cuz im not a hungry person. So will these products help me out? or any other products work better? thanks guys:big_smile:

I have used both from GNC. Neither is great, neither is bad. If you must pick between one or the other, go with the Whey.

yeah go with whey! You need the protein more than creatine. also actually dont even go to GNC. There are better deals on line. Online you will also find higher quality proteins check out www.vitaglo.com. For whey isopure is good a little pricey, the fav here is optimum nutrition 100% whey.

GNC creatine is so so...not all the great. but i used to use their Designer Pro whey protein and then i switched to optimum nutrition 100% whey. i found the taste of the GNC protein to be so much better. the ON reminded me of a chocolate flavored peice of paper (seeing as i eat those all the time, right?). but i went through the ON tub and am now back to GNC but using their Egg and Whey protein. i'm waiting to get back to school from spring break to start using it. both gave me the same results, so i am going back to the better taste. i also use the GNC Pro Performance glutamine and am pleased with it. so all i take is the glutamine and protein right now and with a decent diet i've been makign great gains. i'm considering doing the "bb1 ZMA combo" with the seperate pills of zinc and magnesium seeing as everyone here is beginning to rave about it. but over all i find the GNC products decent and have worked well for me, just pricey.

creatine is like putting a high octane fuel in your car, better milage( more muscle endurance)with out actually changing the engine out. Creatine is not magical, it just supplies you muscle cells with a faster source of engery. Most muscles are aerobic and annarobic.....which produce engery in the form of ATP creatine is a form of atp that is good and works for short durations( maybe 10 secs) enough to pump out your reps. Creatine is found mostly in the brain of people and in meats( mainly beef I think) But to get 5 grams of creatine you'd have to eat about 10lbs of beef a day( way to much and expensive) You can use it, it hold water in your muscles an dmakes them bigger, the water helps flush out lactic acid, and helps the muscles stay hydrated, however you need to drink about a gallon of water a day to kepp things hydrated. Protein builds muscle, so the creatine will help you rep out reps, and the protein will rebuild what the creatine gave you the abilty to rep out. So both are great supliments, but none take away from plain ol' eating healthy, diet is the key, just as much if not more than the actually working out part.
